I've been Spotted!

I've started spotting - again! But this one looks much more positive than the spotting I saw on Friday. TMI, but this one has lasted each time I go to the bathroom. Yay! Hopefully that means full red flow tomorrow which means I can schedule my appointment and hopefully start Bravelle and grow those little eggies!

I'm supposed to have my appointment on Cycle Day 3 (CD3) - with CD1 being the first day with full red flow - and if tomorrow is CD1, that would mean CD3 would fall on Saturday when we're at my parents' house for Father's Day. Hmmm, not sure what to do about that one! If they can't wait until Monday, perhaps we'll have to go up Saturday morning after my appt?

Heat, be gone!

The last 4-5 days have all been 90+ degree days and extremely humid. While I will take that any day over the arctic of winter, it was getting to be a bit much. I do love sleeping to the sound of a fan or a/c, though! We had tornado warnings for a lot of yesterday which doesn't happen often in Upstate NY, but as of now, I don't think there were any official touch downs. But last night we did have some sever Thunderstorms. 60+mph straight-line winds, downpour, and hail in some areas. We moved our plants into the garage just in case and I'm happy we did - not sure those poor things would have survived!

The storm broke the heat wave and today we are in the 80's and humid and tomorrow, low 80/uppre 70's which will be perfect. Woohoo!

Yup - another one

Yes, I know I have talked a LOT about my cat on here, but you know what? I don't have a baby of my own and I love my cat like a child (and yes, I know that sounds crazy to some haha). But, ever since he got hurt, there's a lot to talk about, so I will! ;-)

Good news! The anti-inflammatory shot (prednazone) worked! He is eating like a champ. The vet said that cats are prone to inflammatory in their intestines/bowels, so he gave me an Rx for prednazone pills for the next week and then we go back next week for another check up for that, his leg, and his gum to see how that's progressing.

Now - just need to not have anytihng else happen!

Kitty no eat :-(

Riley officially hasn't held down any food since last Wednesday night. Well, I lied - he held down a couple pieces this morning, but that's it. So we went for another visit to the vet today. It was like the show Cheers - we walk in and everyone there goes - "Hi Riley! How are you feeling today?!" lol Like I mentioned before, it's sad that he's been there so much that they do know him, but I love that they've grown so fond of him and take such great care of him!

But, the news wasn't good. They're not sure why he's not eating. Could be one of a few things:

1) There is an obstruction
2) There's inflamation or irritation
3) Getting hit caused some of his organs, etc... to move around

They gave him an anti-inflamatory shot today. They said if it's going to work, it'll work within the next 24 hours. So here's to hoping it works! Because if it doesn't work by the time we go back tomorrow, they'll have to move on to the next level. Possibly an xray with barium to see what's going on. Ugh. I really hope this shot works!

Tulips

I was going through pictures recently and I came across some pictures I took at the Tulip Festival I took last year with my mom on Mother's Day. Here's one of my favorites:

Nothing.

Nope - still no period. Nothing since the once time spotting I had on Friday. Zilch. I can't start the next phase of IVF until I get my period. I know Lupron kind of delays things in that arena, but I was supposed to get it on Saturday - so start already! I called my RE to cancel the appointment I had for today and they said that if I still don't get it by Friday to call and I'll have an appointment on Monday regardless. So here's to hoping it shows on it's own and earlier.

The next phase in this whole process is where I start taking Bravelle with my Lupron. The Bravelle is injected to stimulate my ovaries to produce lots and lots of eggs. And I keep taking the Lupron so suppress any natural ovulation by my body until the eggs/follicles are big enough to be triggered to ovulate. And then once I do the trigger, they'll go in, retrieve all of the eggs, fertilize them with ICSI and then a few days later transfer a few fertilized ones back in.

So say it with me everyone - come on period - show your face! ;-)
