Fruits of Our Labor!

So - I just went out to water the garden and things have really grown overnight! Our soil here is all sand, so it sucks for growing anything. Plus, we don't plan on living here too much longer, so we've decided our garden will be a container garden rather than actually in the ground. And it works for us!

We upped what we planted this year compared to the past. Let's see, we planted a few tomato varieties - Bush Goliath, Grape, and Early Girl.

Here you can see some grape tomatoes starting!

(Plus our neighbor's car! haha)

And we L-O-V-E red peppers, especially on the grill, so we planted lots of those.
We also ventured into the world of Jalapeno peppers - love to cook with them, so hopefully these turn out. It's looking good so far - they are the front runner so far as to producing - take a look at our growing pepper babies!

Lettuce and radishes are up next - and overnight, a lettuce has popped through!

And the big winner over night were the "hills". We had one summer squash and no cucumbers last night and today there's a bunch!

Can't wait to see what I see tomorrow!
